We are so thrilled to have the lovely Carl Cox as our Charity’s Ambassador! We are so looking forward to our Mannin Bikes – A Wheelie Good Cause Legends Auction at the Opul Mercury Club at the Grandstand on Friday 29th May. Tickets go on sale soon for what will be a fabulous night! If you’d like more info or to reserve a ticket or table contact Jules for more info.

Carl Cox will return to the Isle of Man during TT 2026, supporting his Carl Cox Motorsport riders, and will be appearing as a special guest at the Mannin Bikes TT Legendsauction on Friday 29 May 2026 in his new role as Ambassador supporting Mannin Cancers Support Group (‘Mannin Cancers’) – the Official Charity Partner of the Isle of Man TT Races for 2025 to 2026.

The auction forms part of the charity’s Wheelie Good Causefundraising campaign, with all proceeds going towards raising vital funds to support those impacted by cancer across the Island.

The TT Legends series gives fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own one of fifteen full-size, meticulously crafted model bikes. Each one-off model celebrates an iconic moment in TT history, featuring legendary riders and machines ranging from Mike Hailwood’s Ducati NCR900SS to Michael Dunlop’s record-breaking 29th TT win on the MD Racing Yamaha R6. As a continued supporter of Dunlop, that machine also features the Carl Cox Motorsport logo, now a familiar and recognisable sight across the TT paddock. Every model bike is inspired by the original race liveries and the helmets of the riders most closely associated with each machine.

Carl Cox Motorsport has become one of the most respected and recognisable names involved with the Isle of Man TT, underlining Carl’s long-standing connection to road racing and to the event itself. Alongside his motorsport commitments, Cox is one of the most influential figures in global electronic music, with a career spanning more than three decades.

The TT Legends model bikes were on display for visiting fans throughout the Classic TT, allowing supporters to see the collection up close ahead of the final auction. Anyone wishing to attend the auction on Friday 29 May can register their interest in tickets here.

Manx Care is on a par with the most advanced Urology centres in the UK and worldwide

Manx Care is now on a par with the most advanced Urology centres in the UK and worldwide, thanks to Mannin Cancers Support Group’s generous donation of a Trans Perineal Prostate Biopsy USS/MRI Fusion Machine.

The state of the art machine will have a significant impact the quality of services provided to prostate cancer patients, allowing the team to pinpoint cancerous lesions, therefore making it easier to locate the site from which to take a biopsy.

This has been made possible due to a generous donation by the Mannin Cancers Support Group. In addition, the Tevir Group have very kindly sponsored three years of maintenance on the equipment.

The machine was tested and formal training was delivered before an inauguration ceremony last week at Noble’s Hospital, and the service began on 03 July 2024. It is already working well, and it is expected that over 200 patients a year will benefit from this development.

Baher Hussein, Consultant Urologist for Manx Care, said: “We cannot express how grateful we are for the continuous support of Mannin Cancers Support Group and the Tevir Group, as well as all those who have supported this endeavour – the machine is working like a dream and a huge number of patients will benefit in the years to come. We are proud to be in the same league as the most advanced Urology centres – this is a huge accomplishment for Manx Care.”

Julie Stokes, Chairman of Mannin Cancers Support Group, added “We would like to thank everyone who’s made being able to purchase this fabulous piece of equipment possible. The cost of this equipment was just under £180,000, which would not have been possible without the help of the Tevir Group who have funded three years’ maintenance costs.

Having this equipment on Island will save many patients from having to travel to the UK for the diagnosis and staging of Prostate Cancer. It will benefit over 200 patients every year on our Island. Thanks to Mr Baher Hussein (Consultant Urologist), his team and Manx Care for all their help.”

The Mannin Cancers Macmillan Centre Update

The Mannin Cancers Macmillan Centre is coming along nicely thanks to our builders Tooms Bros.Due for completion early spring 2025 and an official opening late 2025. We can’t wait to get into this fabulous building which has been designed and project managed by Mark Savage at Savage Chadwick.

Working together with Macmillan Cancer Support and Minds Matter we’d like to offer the same standard of support that’s offered in the UK by the fabulous Maggie Centres. We want our centre to be a haven for patients and their families when they’ve had a Cancer diagnosis. We will offer one stop support for patients and their families.

WHAT IS OUR WHEELIE GOOD CAUSE 2025?

The Isle of Man is best known around the world for its prestigious TT Races. The heritage of the TT ensures that participating in the event is seen as one of the pinnacles of achievement in motorcycle racing. It makes legends of the riders, their machines, ANd anyone who has ever taken on the challenge of the iconic 37.75 mile Mountain Course.

These riders and machines have not only become well-known within the Island’s own community, but also around the world. Wherever you are in the world, the Isle of Man is often recognised as the home of the TT Races, as much as the skill and bravery of the riders, and the resilience and speed of their machines.

For our major fundraising endeavour in 2025, we have been inspired by our Island’s TT heritage and status within motorcycle racing. We have secured an arrangement with a world-class designer and manufacturer of visual displays to create full-sized, to-scale fibreglass models of racing bikes.

In putting our Wheelie Good Cause into action, we have been extremely grateful to be supported by the Isle of Man TT & Motorsport Team within the Department for Enterprise who are helping us showcase the bikes, and are kindly allowing use of the TT Mercury Club venue for during the 2025 TT Festival.
