Who we are and
what we doMannin Cancers is the Island’s only male cancer charity. We exist to ensure that everyone who needs it has support, information and awareness.
Whether you are a patient, a relative or a friend, we will offer support and ensure through our fundraising that the best possible patient experience is delivered day in day out by our health services.
Every year over 55,00 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate, testicular or penile cancer. In the Isle of Man the figures are increasing with prostate cancer close to overtaking breast cancer as the leading type of cancer with over 100 guys diagnosed every year.
Cancer in whatever guise can be devastating. It has been proven that men are most likely not to share their fears and we aim to break that barrier to reduce the impact. We provide trustworthy information, campaign for change and provide support at every step.
Our team are made up of dedicated people that have had cancer, or have had experience of cancer, and are passionate about raising the profile of men’s cancer across our Island.

What’s next?
Mannin Cancers Support Group now has a new £1m project – a first for the Island! A Maggie-type Cancer Information Centre which is built on the land opposite the entrance to Nobles Hospital, adjacent to the main car park. This is now complete.
Working together with Manx Care, DHSC and DOI not forgetting Savage and Chadwick Architects.We provide a facility like the UK Maggie Centres offering information support and help to patients and their carers who have been diagnosed with Cancer on our Island.
The Centre will also be a Charity hub for many of the Island’s smaller charities. It will also offer virtual consultation rooms for Manx Care to use.
